Databank Missing Items and Blueprint Checks

A v1.0.6 checklist for POI, Trader, crafting, task, Blueprint, and Databank gaps without a fake complete item table.

IDLE_DIRECTIVE ruins inventory containing several discovered components
Use the current Databank and POI indexes to identify a real unseen entry.

Update to v1.0.6 or later before chasing the last Databank entries. Earlier versions could display a maximum that was five items too high, making a complete visible list look incomplete. The same patch also removed a false claim that the ordinary Biocell was craftable.

After updating and reloading the save, use the remaining hidden entries—not an old remembered total—as the starting point for the search.

Separate a real missing item from an old display bug

What you see What it means Next action
No hidden entry, but the counter used to say five items remained The pre-v1.0.6 maximum included entries the Databank did not display Update, reload, and check the corrected maximum
Biocell is shown as craftable but locked This was an incorrect crafting label fixed in v1.0.6 Do not search for a Biocell blueprint on an old build
A ???? entry still exists after updating A discoverable item may genuinely remain Check each discovery channel below
A Blueprint at a POI has a new-entry indicator The current build is marking a Blueprint not yet recorded Collect it, then reopen the Databank
The total changes after a patch The catalog definition may have been corrected Compare visible entries before assuming save loss

Check every discovery channel once

A ruins inventory shows why item discovery needs both a POI check and enough free space to take the result.

Use a written checklist instead of revisiting the same location repeatedly:

  1. POI indexes: open each discovered POI type and compare its visible item index with the items you have actually taken.
  2. Blueprint-bearing POIs: look for the new-entry indicator added in v1.0.6. An indicator is more useful than guessing from a global total.
  3. Trader inventories: inspect items unlocked by the current reputation state. Do not assume a familiar-looking shape is already recorded.
  4. Replicator recipes: compare the current crafting search with the Databank. Craft-only items can be missed by a POI-only search.
  5. Tasks and deliveries: complete enough current tasks to see whether a unique delivery or reward item enters the inventory.
  6. Physical discovery: after receiving a genuinely new item, reopen the Databank and verify which entry changed before continuing.

This order identifies the source class of the missing entry. It does not claim that every Blueprint has one fixed location or that every Trader exposes the same inventory in every progression state.

Blueprint checks without a fake complete table

The current evidence supports three practical rules:

  • crafting and later automation are progression systems, so a locked recipe can reflect an unopened system rather than a broken Databank;
  • v1.0.6 marks newly found POI Blueprints to make discovery easier to notice;
  • the ordinary Biocell should no longer appear as a craftable locked recipe.

A complete Blueprint location and Trader reward table would need a current, repeatable inventory for every source. Until that exists, use the in-game POI index, current Trader inventory, and Replicator search as the authority for the specific save.

When to stop searching

Stop the route and record a reproducible gap when all of these are true:

  • the game is current;
  • the corrected Databank still shows a real hidden entry;
  • each discovered POI index has been checked;
  • current Trader items, recipes, and task rewards have been reviewed;
  • collecting a suspected new item does not change the Databank.

Do not delete a save, install an unverified modification, or follow an old 103-item checklist to solve a catalog display problem. For current component behavior after an item is found, use the component reference. For version-specific catalog fixes, open Updates and Patch Notes.
