How to Fill Biomass Cells and Run Bio Generators
The exact Biomass Cell connection sequence plus the most common failure checks.

Table of contents
A Biomass Cell is portable fuel storage for a Bio Generator. The Harvester is part of the resource-supply loop, but it does not fill the Cell directly.
Fill and connect a Biomass Cell
- Keep a Biotank or other Biomass storage with Biomass available.
- Hold the Biomass Cell over that storage.
- Click to fill the Cell.
- Place the filled Cell so it connects directly to the Bio Generator.
- Connect the Bio Generator to the main grid.
- Watch the energy rate and the Cell’s state through a full working cycle.

What the Harvester actually does
A Harvester needs two things outside its body-grid connector:
- Biomass storage with free capacity in the inventory; and
- a reachable POI containing harvestable Biomass.
Its output goes to the storage in inventory. It does not automatically refill an ordinary Biomass Cell. If the Harvester is idle, check the current POI and storage capacity before rebuilding the body grid.
The full release includes a self-refilling Biomass Cell with a 30-second refill cooldown. Its exact unlock point is not established here, so do not plan the first Biomass loop around having it.
Symptom checklist
| Symptom | Check first |
|---|---|
| Cell will not fill | Confirm the storage contains Biomass, then hold the Cell over it and click |
| Generator is inactive | Confirm the filled Cell touches the Generator and the Generator touches the grid |
| Harvester is inactive | Confirm the current POI contains Biomass and inventory storage has room |
| Energy still falls | Compare generator output with active demand; disconnect one consumer and retest |
| Biomass is collected but Cell stays empty | Fill the ordinary Cell manually from storage |
For connector isolation, use the grid diagnostic. If you cannot reach a valid resource point yet, follow the Map and POI route.
