Map, POIs, Terminals, and Survivor Groups

A spoiler-light map progression guide for POIs, Terminals, and reputation targets.

The Map is not merely a distance counter. It connects repaired Navigation and Mobility to resource POIs, critical infrastructure, Terminals, and the four survivor groups.

Unlock travel

The reviewed progression information requires a repaired Navigation Computer and Mobility before Map travel becomes useful. If the Map does not produce a route, return to Status and check both systems instead of searching for a hidden coordinate.

The Map panel shows current speed, route controls, explored space, POI symbols, and a destination line.

Once travel is working:

  1. move the camera until the intended area is visible;
  2. choose a visible destination on the Map;
  3. confirm you have energy and inventory room for the trip’s purpose;
  4. watch speed and ETA rather than assuming movement is active;
  5. repair or interact with the destination;
  6. verify the resulting state before choosing the next route.

Camera movement, Mobility, and destination selection are separate states. A Mobility value above zero does not start travel without a destination.

When the Map remains at 0/0

A launch-day failed world generation could leave the Map at 0/0, with no usable POIs or route. A nearby Trader spawning too early was confirmed as one soft-lock cause and was fixed, while the broken 0/0 Map state was still being worked on during the reviewed report.

If the current version still produces 0/0, stop rebuilding the body grid. Record the version and the state immediately before the Map opened, then use the launch troubleshooting checklist.

What POIs are for

POIs can provide resources and repair targets. Harvesters need a compatible resource POI in addition to their body connection. Reactors, Spires, and Terminals connect exploration to later permanent progress.

The achievement inventory confirms repair milestones at 10, 25, 50, 100, and 150 POIs; exploration milestones above 30%, 45%, 60%, 75%, and 90%; and travel milestones from 200 to 50,000 kilometers. Those are targets, not a reason to travel without a current objective.

Survivor-group goals

There are contact achievements for:

  • The Outpost
  • The Habitat
  • The Enclave
  • The Reservoir

Each group also has a maximum-reputation achievement. This guide does not invent a reward table or rank the factions because the complete reward inventory has not been verified.

Terminals and the end goal

Repairing a Terminal has its own achievement. DIRECTIVE COMPLETE requires all Terminals to be repaired. That makes Terminals a clear progression objective, but it does not provide enough evidence for a complete coordinate map.

Continue with Reactors and Spires when you find those infrastructure targets, or read System Reset and Augments before converting that progress into permanent upgrades.
